| The bottom of the enema bag 18 to 24 in. is a good height for administering the enema. It allows enough pressure to fill the entire colon without the flow being so fast as to cause severe cramping in the abdomen. Should any cramping be observed or felt by the recipient you should slow or stop the flow of liquid until the cramps have subsided. You can then restart the flow of liquid into the rectum until a complete filling of the colon is achieved. |
